Your best solution is to purchase a NEW version of Windows 7, and install onto a "fresh" disc or SSD.
This means you keep the original disc if in the future you want to go to Windows 8
Sony have recently just supplied Win 7 drivers for this model, which is fantastic news from my perspective.
This is the route I have taken.
FYI. The Samsung PRO 840 range work well in this laptop. OCZ seem to have problems being recognized by the BIOS.
