Hi all,
I've been trying to dual boot Ubuntu with my Windows 8 and it just isn't working. There have been a few varied results but none have got as far as choosing a drive. I'm booting from USB drive (which works on other's computers) I've tried all of the suggestions (that I can with these very limited bios options) on the Ubuntu boards, so I can only assume it's a T series specific problem.
Has anyone managed to get it working, if so, how did you manage it?
Thanks in advance!

Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi bishbash,
Thanks so much for your reply, that looks to be exactly what I was after! I hadn't heard of the term locked bootloader before your reply, which made searching for the answer awkward!
I am at work atm without my flash drive so I can't test out the fix, but fingers crossed. Will reply again with more effusive thanks if it works!

*Update*
Well, everyone seems to indicate that this particular fix is for the Linux expert types only (which I am far, far from being) but a more user friendly version is being released in May.
But this definately seems to be what I need, so thanks a lot!

Hi TraversTee,
Do you know if you have a locked bootloader? I have never dualbooted a windows8 box so I am not sure if this is the issue.
binbash

Hi TraversTee,
That's brilliant : ), thanks for the update, hopefully you can dual boot soon : )! In the mean time maybe you can run virtualbox with your ubuntu inside.
binbash
