Hi Ahmed,
There are similar models to yours sold in the USA/Canada – Vaio C series. Support for these models includes full drivers for Windows 8 (as opposed to the upgrade drivers offered by Sony Europe. Included is the Ricoh Memory Stick Driver Ver. 6.20.13.30 which is the same driver version as the European site but has a size of 1.88 MB as opposed to 1.7 Kb.

This will hopefully be the base system device.
If not then right click the device > select Properties > Details tab – on the drop down menu select Hardware Ids and let us know the value listed which will take the form of, but not necessarily the same as, PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0592&SUBSYS_9040104D&REV_12
Do the same for the unknown device in the hope that the hardware Id will give us a clue as to the driver needed.
Here is a link to Canadian support for the VPCCB32FD – you need to select the operating system to see relevant drivers.

Hi Ahmed0Al-Hebshi,
Your model is fully supported for upgrading to Windows 8 and all drivers are available. However if you carried out a clean install the drivers provided will not install as they are upgrade versions.
Only a migration from Windows 7 is supported by Sony Europe. If you have not already done so, I suggest you read the sticky on this subject.

Hi Ahmed,
Yes, to upgrade/migrate to Windows 8, as supported by Sony Europe, the complete Windows 7 system, including recover partition must be in place – restoring to factory settings will achieve this. Hopefully you created recovery media as a clean install of Windows 8 may have deleted the recovery partition.
Rather than downloading all upgrade drivers from the Support site it may be easier to order the upgrade kit from Sony.

This can be downloaded or ordered as a DVD.

Hi rich
I tried to get the VAIO UPGRADE FOR WINDOWS 8 kit but it tells me that my vaio is not supported.
Hi Ahmed,
Unfortunately, after checking, this would seem to be the case. The VPCCA4xxx is fully supported and eligible for the kit, the VPCCA3xxx is fully supported but just from the Sony Support download area.
Sorry for misleading you.

Hi Rich
So, i just follow what i said
"so i have to install back windows 7 and after that install windows 8 without formating anything so have all the drivers working."
Or you suggest something else
thank you
Hi Ahmed,
Yes, as far as I am aware that is the only way to be able to then install the upgrade drivers from the Support site. Also during the Windows 8 upgrade process you must opt to Keep Windows settings, personal files, and apps.

Hi Roch
I have ried exactly what you advised me but it give me more problems for direct upgrade without formating windows 7 drivers, so i have to go back to clean installation for windows 8 , right now i have the same drivers showing in the first post excluding the bluetooth driver which is working just fine
only the can idintidy the "Base System device, and unkonw device"
please help me
