Hardware problem in VPCCB3C5E

Hi

I have VAIO E Series Laptop model name VPCCB3C5E (soutmised)

i have upgraded to windows 8 a while ago but as shown in the attatched image still facing some unidentified hardware i have looked to all the drivers that Sony support and all around the internet,but non of these fix the shown and highlighted unidentified hardware.

please help me

the Base System device is working

but cant find for the "unkonw device,Hardware ID is ACPI\VEN_SNY&DEV_5001"

Hi Ahmed,

ACPI\SNY5001 is the Sony Firmware Extension Parser Device (SFEP). Even on the Canadian site there is no update for Windows 8 so I suggest you try installing the original Windows 7 version from the Sony support site – it is listed as SFEP Driver.

Thanks alot i have tried the Firmware Extension Parser Device (SFEP) for Windows 7 but it dose not work..maybe sony will relase for windows 8 soon

Hi Ahmed,

This is a long shot, but it may be worth trying to install the SFEP driver that comes pre-installed on a Vaio model released with Windows 8. One such model is SVE1713Z1RB and you can find the driver here:

Ah well it was worth a try. Don’t hold your breath on Sony providing the driver in the future…

just a question the Canadian support for the VPCCB32FD drivers and utilities is it fully compatible with my model....

Hi Ahmed,

At a glance yes, but you would need to check that all hardware secifications match to be sure.
