Hello.
I would like to use an external keyboard with my laptop Sony Vaio VPCEB4Z1E.
I have tryed to plug my keuboard which is ps/2 with a pS/2 to USB tool. There is no way that my Vaio will read it.
If I buy a USB keyboard, will the laptop read it? I'm afraid that I'll spend the money and it will not work.
Just in case, if it's possible, could someone please explain me step by step what to do in case it's not just "plug and play"?
I am expecting it to work as it does with my mouse. I use an external mouse, yet the laptop mouse still works, so I literally have 2 mouses working. Will it be the same with the keyboard?
Thank you in advance. And I would also like to thank Sony for taking my laptop to repair even with the warranty off for a month and a half. That definitely makes me happy and want to use Sony products.
Hi DiegoRG,
There is no reason why a standard USB keyboard will not work with this model and it will be plug and play. PS/2 is a different kettle of fish especially when using a converter.

I'll get my portatil back from a repair by the end of the week. I'll go and buy a USB keyboard and say how well it worked by then (I also think that a play & plug USB keyboard should simply work!)
Thnkas for your answer tho, now I can discard anything else.
