How to install Linux together with Windows 8 uefi enabled?

Hello everyone,

I am a Linux fan and I want to install it on my Sony Vaio T13 Serie (SVT1313M1ES), but I don't want to disable UEFI secure boot.

Among the distros which accept UEFI I prefer Sabayon 11 but I am ok if you tell me how to do with Ubuntu.

My biggest doubt is on the BIOS Setup the only option when I have a custom UEFI is to delete all keys from the database and no other option is there... I am afraid to delete and have no other option and endup with a system that doesn't boot and without backup keys

Well I guess my real question is... Did any of you guys did this step and what come next? how can I garanty a backup of the certfied keys of windows 8? after deleting can I import my own keys and certificates?

Hi Mauruce_Medeiros,

This is a very very in depth question indeed. I think you might have better luck getting an answer by going to one of the linux distributions IRC channels e.g. Sabayons IRC channel http://wiki.sabayonlinux.org/index.php?title=Getting_Help_In_IRC (very slow page load for me)

hope this helps
