I want to change Windows8 for XP: is it too difficult?

I want to change Windows 8 for XP. Is it toot difficult?

I need a computer to wrok, not to play computers or facebook.

You don't tell us what Vaio model you have but I don't think any Windows 8 models are supported for a downgrade to XP. Drivers and Utilities are not available.

Sony do support a downgrade to Windows 7 on some non-touch screen models but, in my opinion, a downgrade to anything else is unlikely to be successful.

It's a SVE 1112MIEW. This Windows 8 is a bore. I don´t have time to loose, I´m too old to learn a new system.

When I bought this PC I didn't realise that. And now I can´t get help from Sony Portugal, they don´t answer any email.

Machines get more and more complicated, I don't use 90% of these devices. Why they don't make basic machines for old people who, by the way, are the majority in Europe?

Thanks anyway. I'll see what I can do, probably repair my old PC...
