I have just ordered a Sony Vaio SV-T1313C5E and I would like to get some RAM for it to make it up to 8GB. Are these ones compatible with my laptop? http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006EWUOL8/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3?pf_rd_p=103612307&pf_rd_s=lpo-to...

Hi VanessaUK and welcome.
The Vaio SVT-Series use a low voltage memory module 1.35 volts. You need DDR3 PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 1.35v SDRAM. Presumably you will already have 4GB preinstalled and you can add one 4GB module.
Most of us here buy from Crucial as they offer a compatibility guarantee.

This page is for the SVT1312C5E which uses the same memory as your SVT1313C5E but as your model is so new, the 2013 model has not yet been added. The memory module is the same but you may want to check with Crucial to be absolutely sure.
I would avoid Corsair modules as we have seen several instances of incompatibility with Vaios in the past. The Kingston memory is the wrong voltage - and you only need one module.
Thank you so much. Knowing it has the same memory as the other model means I can input it into other ones for searching.
The reason I want 2 is I want to dual channel on the same memory as that is faster I heard than 2 from seperate companies? Or am i wrong and should just get 4GB? And yes I am getting it pre installed with 4.
As far as I know (I don't have the Ultrabook Vaio) the first 4GB of RAM is fixed and cannot be replaced. All you can do is add one single module of up to 4GB.
Anyone here with a SVT-Series Vaio who can confirm?
If anyone could confirm this I would like to know. I am disappointed if the RAM can not be changed.
