Laptop camera

I have a Sony Vaio laptop. Model number is PCG-71311M. I cannot use my motion eye camera, the icon has dissapeared from the screen and I wondered if there is any way to reinstall the software and drivers for it.

Hi foggy923,

First I would look for the driver for the camera here, http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/select-system.pl?DIRECTOR=DRIVER , if you find it I would move to the next step.

I think it might be an idea to plug in the camera and then do the following except for your camera rather than your mouse ( http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/remove-old-drivers-after-upgrading-to-new-hardware/ ) I would expect to find your camera in the imaging devices section or USB device section in the Device manager.

Once you have completed the removal of the drivers, attempt to reinstall them from your download.
