I've just bought a second hand notebook in near mint condition. everything seems to be completely fine, except it won't connect to my wifi router. The switch is on, the light is lit, and I can connect via LAN. Sony's website seems to recognise neither the PCG-21313M or VPCM13M1E model numbers. Anybody got any thoughts? I only bought the notebook for it's mobility.....

Hi Beelzebouncer and welcome.
The correct model is VPCM13M1E and you can find specifications, downloads and manuals on the Support Pages here: -
http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/VPCM13M1E_W
The suffix _W, _P, _L just denotes the casing colour.
Check that the WiFi software switch is turned on in addition to the hardware switch on the front. Open Vaio Smart Network from the Taskbar and check that 2.4GHz Wireless LAN is checked.
If it is already checked, you may need to reinstall the Wireless Driver - I see there is an update available on the above pages.
