Sony VGN-NR21z/s with NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT Graphics card

So, i bought this from ebay, with win 7 freshly installed, its in good nick, with the exception of the graphics card has'nt got the required drivers.

ive searched all over for the right driver but cant find it anwhere, does anyone have a link to the right driver please?

Hi Tam,

Sony don't appear to have released a Windows 7 driver for this model. Have you tried installing the original Vista graphics driver?

If that fails to install you may need to resort to a driver released by Nvidia in combination with a modified Inf file. See here for more detail - read the quick start guide towards the bottom of the page.

Obviously not compatible with Win 7 then.

i cant find in which folder in the NVIDIA installations file to store it

any clues?

You have lost me...

If you are asking where to store it on your hard drive the answer is it doesn't matter as long as you know the location.

so i can put it pretty much anywhere and it will still run then?

If you are referring to the Nvidia driver folder then yes, but you must replace the .inf file within that folder with the modified version prior to the install.
