Hello everyone!
I have a Vaio VPCF13Z1E/B which was overheating over the last months. A few days ago it started smelling like something was burning and after a while it shut down. Since then every time I try to open it, it shuts down after 1 minute or so... I took it to a repair shop and they told me the graphics card is burnt, but they cannot do anything about it because it is embedded on the motherboard. Can't the motherboard be replaced? Is there anything I can do to save my laptop???
Thanks!
Hi AntigoniB and welcome.
The motherboard can be replaced but it is fairly expensive.
If you Google for "VPCF13Z1E Motherboard" you should get several hits - at least you do in the UK.
I can find the motherboard for sale in the UK and in stock costing about 287€ plus fitting. Other companies will also fit.
See what is available in Greece.
