I have an old Sony Vaio that I like but would like to upgrade the graphics card. The computer currently has an nvidia GeForce 6600 with 128MB on memory. I am not using the tuner any more - just using as a spare computer at home. A card with 1GB would be just great for what I need (to play some games). I bought one at PCWorld but it did not work - too modern they told me!
Any one out there be able to recommend a graphics card that would work with this computer and perhaps know wher to source it?
Many thanks.

Hi sonywifi and welcome.
Someone may come up with something more recent but there is a lengthy discussion on this topic here: -

The title names the XL201 but everything applies to your model also. I would have a look at the last couple of pages where suggested graphics cards are. Look for low profile card that is
passively cooled - there are a few suggestions towards the end of the discussion.
