web cam not working

hello my web cam is not working the green light is on, i have looked in device manager clicked imaging devices clicked on sony visual communication camera, it said this device is working properly /usb video device, cannot get a image on skype or arcsoft web cam suite the make and model is sony vaio vpceh2h1e please can you help mick

Hi Mick,

As the camera is present and reported as working in Device Manager this would seem to be a hardware/cabling problem that should be addressed by Sony Support or if out of warranty by an independent repairer.

Your model has some troubleshooting advice for camera problems but I doubt it will be of any help. Follow this link and type 'Web Cam' in the search field - then click on 'How to troubleshoot problems with the webcam'.
