Noise cancelling cutting out

Hi my new noise cancelling headphones WH-1000XM2. Suddenly a sound lime an airport tanoy sounds and the noise cancelling just stops working. I then reset then 5 - 10 mins it does it again. Is this the headphones or my Android phone (Oreo)?

that sounds like the adaptive NC is active.

Do you have the Headphones-App installed?

There you can deactivate this function.
