7.1.1 F8132 Ram Use

I checked my developer options in setting running services and system ram was 1.8 GBS out of 3gbs. Apps and scrolling through my apps and panels lag and lock up. It's seriously horrible and not useable at all!

I'm quite frustrated by this update because Marshmallow was great and getting this phone initially was great prior to all these updates. 

My old Z3 Compact  that I use as a clock doesn't lag at all and as I type this message on my X Performance, there are type delays. It's embarrassing to see this phone run this horribly.

Solutions to this mess? I already tried to repair by factory reset. Is xperia companion repair any different? I haven't tried..

Also other problems! Since the update, the phone gets hot, the battery drains, and had two sudden restarts.

The video recorder stutters -- Hate it and unsuable! It definitely ruined documenting a  trip.

The issue is the same for me. It is extremely annoying. I can't even take a picture without waiting for 3 seconds. The system crashes and I had to restart my phone. 

The phone is also slow after a few hours of operation. The battery drains extremely quickly. The phone is unusable. Sony must fix this.

Thanks for the response and knowing I'm not the only one experiencing this ridiculous problem. I also did the software repair, as suggested by a Xperia UK Twitter Support person, and the results were the same.

I have the problem after updated to 7.1.1, after disable the application movie creator, the phone get better. You may try if this can help

Were you using this app a lot before? I've never used it.

I have disabled the movie creator but this does not help in any way. 

My phone is literally the worse phone I have used in my whole life. I cannot even use it without the risk of having no battery after taking my phone without charge for 5 hours.

Light use with browsing website and using WhatsApp will reduce the battery to 70% from 100% in 1.5 hrs. I do not have many apps, and the ram is so used up by android os and system. It is reduced to less than 400 mb of ram available at any given time. 

I have also tried going into safe mode and reboot. Tried repairing using PC companion. Nothing was the cure. 

This is really crippling my life. I hope sony fix this ASAP.

The phone got better but still the "Performance" is lacking when it first came out. My assumtion is the latest software updates of Android that forces the phone to be slow and lagging and get users to look for new phones...

From the lack of support and insight from the developers, I definitely moving away from Xperia loyalty (after the Z1C and Z3C), the X Performance changed everything. Truly discouraging.

please don't fix this like how long you fixed the rotation bug since 2016 release, which took you 7~8 months!
