Accelerometer stops working

The accelerometer of my x performance stops after some days so auto-rotate and other stuff does not work anymore until I reboot...

I have the same problem. I rebooted the phone, and it still doesn't work. I took a report bug, I could sent it to Sony Xperia support.

But meanwhile, there is a fix? Can I return the phone?

My phone was fine for a few days after a software repair, but has stopped working again. I know we're waiting for a fix from Sony, but my opinion is that it's a hardware issue. They may be able to find a software workaround for it, but if it was purely a software issue then all XP running the same software version would be affected and we've already tried and failed to find an app or software update that might be at fault. Sony should recall the XP and replace with ZX

Disable google location and it will work.

After 30 pages of comments, it's safe to say that these "disable this, disable that" comments work for a few hours or a few days at most. Besides, what's the point of disabling one function to gain another? Not great

If you read earlier in this thread, someone said a solution does not include disablling some other feature. (11/11/16 Edit - the location history only records where you have been, as opposed to location services which is used by apps like Pokemon Go & Chrome & Maps to help you navigate places some more info can be found in an article by Alex Dobie at Android Central)

An app bundled with the phone should not create this kind of problem.

I have noticed many of the photos taken the phone upside down, or incorrectly oriented, can another camera app use the hardware on this device?

This is really becoming a problem for me. So many reasons I need to switch orientations throughout the day and it doesn't work at all. I spent a lot of money on my X-performance, and this is not acceptable.
