Accelerometer stops working

The accelerometer of my x performance stops after some days so auto-rotate and other stuff does not work anymore until I reboot...

In the morning did a Google account removing thing, as described previously. Now it's evening and everything still working. You should definitely try it.

What really disappoints is my Sony Lifelog is recording inaccurate step logging as a result 😞

Oh really? So we would have to maybe do this after every app update?

I am suffering the same problem as everyone else here.
Phone details:

   F8131
   6.0.1
   35.0.A.1.275
I'm reluctant to try any of the fixes posted as the success seems intermittent.
Sony, are you able to quantify "shortly"? Are you talking about a few days, weeks or months?

UPDATE:

I did the recomendations that I posted before, 5 hours ago and still working well.

And I read the notice in several sites, that today Sony says the patch that fix the problem is in the way.

I'm going to tell you guys any update.

Accelerometer stopped working after the most recent service update from Sony. They should be able to correct it and why they haven't yet is inexplicable. There are enough cases of this being an issue for them to realize a fix is in order. Especially on a brand new flaghip device. Come on Sony, get your act together.

Can confirm that stopping the Google app makes autorotate work longer, testing still how long, but with it on it would have stopped already.

Might be more of an android issue then Sony?

Uninstalling Google account helped me.

Did the procedure of deleting the Google account from the phone and then "reactivating" it.

So far 12 hours with the accelerometer working flawlessly! Before that max 20mins after restart before it crapped out. Restart doesn't seem to be a good intermittent solution at all. Try the account procedure instead 🙂
