Alarm Snooze/Cancel screen no longer displaying

I have a Xperia X Compact and the Alarm Snooze/Cancel screen is no longer displaying when the alarm goes off. I need to find it on the notifications to display it and then cancel an Alarm.

I am using no third party customisations, have checked notifications settings and cleared the app storage but still get the same issue. This used to work fine.

Hi @gmc1, sorry to hear about that. Slightly_frowning_Face

I tried to replicate this on an Xperia X Compact with the latest software installed but I was not able to do that. I still receive the notification on the screen where I can drag to turn it off or to snooze the alarm.

If I understand you correctly, you don't see this notification at all and you have to either unlock the screen lock and drag down the status bar and here you can either turn it off or snooze it?

Since you have already cleared data for the Clock application, try rebooting your phone in safe mode and set an alarm to ring in a few minutes time and see if you experience the same behaviour when third party applications aren't loaded.

Let me know if that helps!

Thanks for the swift reply!

Sorry to hear that there was no change. Slightly_frowning_Face

Would you be so kind to provide me with some logs of this behaviour so I can forward them internally?

To take a bug report, follow the steps below.

1. Go to Settings > About phone > Build number, tap 7 times on the build number.
2. Go back and select Developer options then turn on "USB debugging".
3. Select Logger buffer size and change it to "4 M"
4. Restart your phone, then replicate the behaviour (set an alarm and wait for it to go off).

5. When the alarm rings and you experience the same behaviour, go back to Settings > Developer options, select "Take bug report" followed "Interactive bug report".

When the report is ready you will receive a notification. Tap the notification to share it. I suggest you upload it to Google Drive and then choose to share a public link to the upload and include the link in a PM to me together with your IMEI number. You can find your IMEI number in Settings > About phone > Status > IMEI-information. Its the number that starts with 35.

Thanks in advance! Slightly_smiling_Face

Just purchased a new X Compact with 7.1.1, build 34.3.A.0.2016.  Alarm Clock works normal when you simply set it to try it but when it sits overnight charging and the alarm goes off the phone wakes up with the battery status filling the screen.  There is no easy way to get the beeping alarm clocks 'Dismiss' screen to appear.  So far I just find the Power button and hold it till the phone stops. Starting to miss my old android 4.0 device Slightly_frowning_Face

Hi @FlyMe, sorry to hear about this, must be very inconvenient. Slightly_frowning_Face

Would it be possible for you to take a screenshot of this battery status that is filling up the screen on your device? I'm not quite sure I have seen that before.

I'd also recommend that before you go to bed the next time and you charge the phone, restart it in safe mode and leave it there until the alarm goes off and see if you are able to dismiss / snooze the alarm as normal when third party applications aren't loaded.

Thanks in advance and let me know how it went!
