bluetooth problems after update to 7.0 - not connect correctly / no remote control via Headphones

Dual SIM. After updating to 7.0 I have issues with bluetooth devices (already paired under 6.0).

I have set the event to start music player with the last song upon connection to Sony MDR-ZX750BN bluetooth headphones.
The event starts with error - no playlist...

Not so bad, because I can start playing with the keys on the headphones - but thy don't work at all.

I have to press play on the phone - and most times - the bluetooth is already disconnected and the phone plays with the loudspeaker. I have to touch the device under bluetooth paired devices and it starts reconnection. After that i start manually the sound and everything works exept the remote control keys from the headphones
I also loose the checked marks on the devices bluetooth services - manually I can choose all 3 available "call", "media" "sharing"

Teethering works fine, but still no bluetooth service (remote teethering) on the notebook (like under Android 5) , this was very cool, showing the phones hotspot to Windows, even it was off, just within range of bluetooth. With selectiong to connect to that wifi network, via bluetooth, teethering on the phone was started - was very usefull!
Does this come back?

I have the exact same problem on my Sony Xperia X Performance.

Since the last system update of December 2016, the bluetooth media streaming does not work anymore / is not recognized by many audio devices.

The best example, on my cars (Mercedes / Dodge ), the phone bluetooth connects, but not the media streaming, which is very bothering as this is my main source of daily music.

I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting, rebooting the phone,  forgeting the devices on both sides, attempting to activate "media sharing" from the connection settings. It just doesn't connect anymore.

Please send us a solution or make a new update. Personnally if it continues I will have to change smartphone brand, which because I liked my Sony devices - but I like using my phone to stream music through bluetooth more.

Arter upgrading to Android 7, my Xperia X performance does not connect or find any Bluetooth devices at all.

+1 same for me. Clearly a widespread issue after the update

After updating my X performance to Android 7.0 my Xperia does not work properly with the Bluetooth system of my car (Volvo XC60 MY2017).

No media streaming, caller lists, messages or functionallity other than ordinary calls in/out, very frustrating!

Also my contact app keeps crashing when I try to access some contacts, good thing that my Outlook Contact app still works.

I have tried pairing / unpairing on both sides (car /  phone), and also "repair" via pc, it does not fix the problem.

I am really surprised that Sony can release an update with so many problems and flaws, considering going back to IOS

Works again after last update (feb. 2. - 2017), it was great to get messages & media back on my infotainment system 🙂 Tnx

Would like to bump this topic.  Has anyone heard of a fix in the works?  Or at least that Sony is aware of the issue?

I also have an issue with the bluetooth connection after updating to Andoird 7. I have Samsung Level On Pro Wireless headphones and since I've updated to Android 7 the "forward/backward" and "play/pause" isn't working anymore. The strange thing is I can still adjust the volume witht the headphones. Sony support suggested to do a software repair, which fixed the issue, but after some weeks the problem returned.

The headphones are working fine with other phones, and worked with my X Performance on Android 6. I can also see that the Headphones are sending a command to the phone when I read out the bluetooth stream (with BT simple terminal app), but the phone doesn't do anything. I think the issue has something to do with the bluetooth profiles you can choose from in the bluetooth device settings (Call-Audio, Media-Aufio, ...) but so fare I didn't find a solution. Anyone any ideas? Thanks!

Since the 26th of December 2016 I've had two system software updates, the first was that date and the second was today. The first one loaded Nougat onto my phone which I appreciate because I love getting system updates to see what new features are included but it broke one of the features I use most on my phone: Bluetooth. I drive a lot and my car has a bluetooth link for contacts, messaging, and media info. Since the update in December the phone still connects to my car but the contacts and messaging no longer sync and although music plays through the car it no longer sends media info so I can't control music playback using my steering wheel mounted controls or the touchscreen in my car. The bluetooth settings on my phone say that it is sharing contact and media info through bluetooth but it isn't working.

Prior to the update in December all of that functionality worked fine. I decided I would wait and see if it got fixed but after receiving a new system software update again today it still isn't working. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there any way to fix it? If not then could the software update devs possibly add this to their to-do list?

I cannot connect my Sony headphones with Bluetooth. Sees the device but won't pair. Other devices will pair but not phone. Very frustrating
