Caller can't hear me after a while

Hi, every phone call I make or receive does the same thing. We can hear each other for a few minutes, then I can hear them, but they can't hear me. If I lift the phone away from my ear and back again, it works again for a few minutes, then does the same.

Is it the screen going black?

I'm sorry to hear this.

Is it the same when you use the loud speaker or a headset during a call? The screen goes black when you cover the proximity sensor during calls, this should not have any effect on sound during calls.

I recommend that you reboot your device to safe mode to see if this behavior is due one of your downloaded apps. When your phone is in safe mode all downloaded apps are temporarily disabled.

Hi Emil,

Thank you for the reply. It works fine when on loudspeaker, or Bluetooth to the car.

It has been like since I got it, so I don't believe it is something I have installed, but I will reboot in safe mode now and let you know.

If it's the same behavior in safe mode I recommend that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion to rule out that anything software related is causing this behavior.

I see, I would recommend that you try to make a phone call using a different SIM card. This is to see if what you are experiencing is related to your network rather then your phone.

I see @Vix1. I'm afraid if there is no change after doing a software repair and using a different SIM card, all I can recommend is that you get in contact with your Local support team for assistance with having your device sent in to an authorized service center for further troubleshooting and repair.
