Camera heats up and shuts itself down

Sony Support,

Why is it that when I use my camera which by the way is quite nice, within 5 minutes or less it's already overheating and functions shut down. This cannot be typical as one should be able to use their camera much longer than 5 minutes. Please advise or send me an update to fix my issue

The camera app does not work, try installing another app for the camera

I am waiting for Sony to actualize or improve the camera app and solve this problem

I have the same problem too.. Really annoying. I have given up on taking pictures completely.

Same ... But I figured it is only happening when it is at MAX Megapixels like 20 or 23. not on 8mpx it happens quicker on video recording also and if your phone was used before using camera it might happen even before 2 minutes of recording and sometimes happen while taking High Quality pictures. Anyways yesterday I dropped my phone while using it as a flashlight while working on my car and broke a piece of the screen it will be eighter sold or recycled soon anyways I loved this phone and Sony support since I got it!

this problem is there from the beginning... camera heats up while recording at 60fps, but at 30fps or using third party apps will be fine

Anyway, Sony should fix the camera app. It looks poor when u are spend some $$ and can't use the phone not longer then 5 minuts. i change my parameters for 30 fps (50% less) but i paid a regular price, not 50% less.
