How to make phone silent

Can somebody explain to me how to put phone on silent I had the widgets to drag down from top right but they seem to off disappeared

The silent mode is called "Do Not Disturb" on Android 7, you can activate it by:

- While your screen is active, press and hold volume down until vibration mode is activated, press once more for silent mode.

- While your screen is active, pull down the notification bar and tap on "Do not disturb" toggle.
