Hi,
Does anybody managed to get ICE information onto lock screen after Nougat update?
I added ICE contacts but can't find any other option to show them on lock screen as I used to be with Marshmellow. There is nothing about ICE on lock screen. Only keypad fpr PIN and Call 112 button.
Solved! Go to Solution.
@Kaia There should be a text with emergency call/info, tap on that and there is emergency information, tap there. Thats what I found, haven't set up that field.
@Alexdon thanks, but there is nothing about ICE on my lockscreen. The upper text asks fingerprint or PIN and lower lets you call 911/112. Do you have more stuff on your lockscreen?
I also can't find any settings to show/hide ICE on lockscreen but thats probably by design of Nougat version.
Thank you very much alexdon!!! I thought that "Hadaabi" button dials directly to 911/112 so I never tested it to avoid false emergency calls.
I tested it now and it opens another screen with ICE information button. Kinda cumbersome solution compared to previous Android version where you can get the ICE data directly from lock screen by one click.
Hey,
One more thing which got strangely different in Nougat compared to Marshmellow regarding ICE information. On Marshmellow you have the international term ICE leading to ICE Information from lock-screen on every language. On Nougat you getting for example in Estonian language a button "Hädaabi" for ICE info and it's not much helping when you on abroad. How could medical personnel in Germany know that "Hädaabi" means ICE information? Or should user quickly change the phone's language to English during the heart attack... (retoric question)
