Is it worth upgrading from the Z3C?

Hi!

I'm a Z3C user and was wondering if it's worth upgrading to the XC, since it's not classified as a flagship phone. I also read a lot of complaints about the new camera...

Thanks!

Only you can answer that question, you should stop by the store and play with the Xperia X Compact

I'm not sure if it is classified as a "flagship" phone (whatever that means). But I know it is classified as a Premium phone. Indeed I have had the Xperia Lounge membership upgraded to Gold because of it.

Anyway, I am don't know much about cameras, but it is faster and it has 1GB more RAM than the Z3C. Also Nougat is rolling out and the multi window is quite cool.  😄

No it's not worth it. I come from a Z3 Compact. This phone with it's high end processor never let me down. The XC is equipped with a lower end processor. Usually it works fine but it freezes now and then. There are also missing a lot of settings. The Smart Connect app has been stript down from functions for example. No magnetic charge port. This last one for me was a great feature. I use my phone as an alarmclock. With the magnetic charging dock it worked for me with the Z1c and Z3c.
And then there is battery life. With my Z1c and Z3c the battery lasted over a day with heavy ussage. With the Xc I have to recharge before the evening kicks in.
The camera is a big step forewards though. Much sharper pictures and movies. More settings, such as shutterspeed etc.
But if I had to choose I would go back to my old and trusty Z3 Compact.

Absolutly not! I come from a Z3C and I miss it every day. The XC is missing al lot of functions in software and hardware. Now more Ant+ radio. Less settings in the smart connect app. Not waterproof or restisant. Battery drains faster Etc etc.
