Is keypad layout available for the keyboard?

Hi Guys,

I am considering purchasing an Xperia X Compact and wondering if there is any way to change to keypad layout to the old Phonepad Layout.

Settings - Language/Input - Xperia Keyboard - Portrait Keyboard / Phonepad layout

Thanks

Mike

Hi @mike091993, glad to hear that you're considering buying the Xperia X Compact. Slightly_smiling_Face

I'm afraid that Swiftkey, the pre-installed keyboard for X Compact, doesn't support this kind of layout. If you prefer this layout I'd recommend you to search Google Play for another keyboard that supports it.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

I do not personally use this layout but you could search Google Play for "T9 keyboard", it should present you with some options to choose from.

I just bought this phone today after smashing my Z5C, but where is the T9 3x4 keyboard? Where is that keyboard we really love in the Sony Xperia phones? Why downgrade to a keyboard with no T9??

Im really disapointed now.

And dont tell me to go to google play!! I need the normal T9 3x4 keyboard thats easy to type on, and support Danish.. Why on earth wound you remove this? If thats you strategy from now on, this is my last sony phone, and I have had a lot of Sony phones.. So sad..

the thing with android devices is that if the OEMS doesn't include a feature or remove it, it would certainly easy to find it from google play, if you are unwilling to look for t9 keyboards on google play, then there is no other way to have this option..
