Hi @Thesnowman24, welcome to the community.
The battery life is advertised as up to 2 days. The total life you will get off a charge will depend on how you use your phone. In certain conditions you can indeed get up to 2 days, but the more you use your device the more you will need to charge it.
Apps that consume a lot of battery, like facebook, messenger, snapchat, whatsapp, YouTube and most games for example, are going to limit the amount of battery time you can get on a single charge.
Here's what it states on the product page:
"Battery life has been measured against Sony Mobile Communications AB’s smartphone usage profile, defined in September 2014 to represent the typical smartphone user’s active condition, including, but not limited to a range of usage scenarios (calling, texting, web browsing, social networking, game playing, music listening, picture taking, picture browsing, online video watching, video recording and playback)."
20 hours is a respectable amount of use per charge for a modern smartphone. With my position in Sony, I have to use my phone a lot. I currently use the Xperia X as my main phone, and I will get approximately 15 hours per charge.
If you are concerned that you are getting a lot of drain and your use doesn't account for it, I recommend you test your phone in safe mode. Safe mode will start your phone with only the pre-installed apps loaded, so it is a good test to see if third party apps are causing excessive drain on your device.
I can get 2 days if I enable stamina mode constantly, or I just turn off mobile data and wifi, and only turn them on when I need to.
