Mobile data problems since nougat upgrade

Since updating to nougat I have problems with mobile data connections not fully connecting to the internet. I have done a factory reset AND tried the sim in another phone. The sim in another phone works perfectly connecting to the internet every time, however in the Compact X it does not, it appears to connect to 4g fine but cannot find any web pages. REbooting cures the problem until you disconnect mobile data and then reconnect it..

Any ideas what this could be other than a phone fault (although with marshmallow I had NO issues at all with this)...

I tried redoing the APN again straight after a reset and I have also had a system update this morning.  So far it seems to be working ok. One thing I have noticed, when 4g is not available it is now dropping down to the slower speeds, something that was not happening prior to the update and despite the settings being set to do this (rather than 4g only).  However I am holding my breath as it was very random before so I could just be lucky.

Thanks a lot for the update, and I'm happy to hear it seems to be working now! Folded_Hands

When 4G isn't available it should go down to H+ (3G+) or H (3G), does the icon change to that in the status bar on the phone? 3G+ and 3G is a bit slower than 4G is, when you are browsing you won't notice a huge difference, it's noticed a lot more when streaming video / music.

It does change now but strangely did not with the original nougat update prior to the update this morning. So perhaps this was to do with 4g availability and then not using 3g etc. Could have been a bug..

I have no heard about that from other users, and not experienced that myself.

But now everything is working as normal and the icon is changing like it should and you can always use mobile data?

I had the same problem. You need to turn on the roaming data before you open mobile data. it works like that

Hi, I had the same problem about data mobile issue, in other chat someone wrote this and it worked for me:
- In the settings menu, select "More", then "Internet settings" and finally  "Accept".
