My sony xperia x turns off when I charge it in my car

I have just recently got a new car charger since my old one stopped working. I used it today and as soon as I plug it in my phone turned off. So I turned it back on again and drove home, but when I got home i turned my car off and the phone turn it self off again. Has anyone have this happen to them or have a solution

does your device charge normally with other means?

Yes it charges with other wall chargers and the last car charger I have. 

It does charge with the new charge it does turns off when the car get turned on and off. 

It a sainsburys home charger I thought it would be universal
