Had my X compact for nearly 12 months with no issues until today. Today the phone was on standby and when i came to use it I could not wake it up. No screen light, it just remains dark when I pressed the power button. Therefore could not restart the device. Contacted Sony support who after nearly an hour of questions told me I'd need to send the device in for repair. Went through the site to register the phone to my account and after completing all the details I was unable to hit 'send' (site blocked every attempt).

I'm very sorry to hear this.
It sound like you have already tried all relevant troubleshooting if you where directed send it in to a authorized service center.
I'm afraid that if you are experiencing difficulties creating a service order I recommend that you get in contact with your Local support team as they will be better equipped to assist you with this.

No this did not solve the problem. The phone has been returned to the original store it was ordered from and they have sent it away to be looked at. It remains to be seen whether the phone can be repaired or not. In the meantime, I am paying for a phone I cannot use.
