Whenever my X Performance glitches out/freezes/stops 'performing' properly, usually I restart it and the problems are temporarily solved. But now, when I choose restart, the box pops up that says "Power off Shutting down...." and stays that way until I do a soft reset.
In the icon bar I see that the sim card goes dark and my Smart Band is disconnected, so it appears as though the shut-down process has started, but I still get notifications while the Shutting down... is spinning away. If I press the power button I see the lock screen and can unlock it with my fingerprint, but the power off window doesn't go away until I hold the power/volume buttons to force it.
Not sure if it's related, but I also have a new problem in the Play store today. I pressed update all and the first half of them updated fine, but now when I try to update any app it gets to 100% downloaded but never installs. I was trying to see if a restart helped but it went back into this Shutting down... loop so I figured I'd see if anyone else is experiencing similar problems. Also last night my Smart Band kept disconnecting and reconnecting randomly so maybe Smart Connect or Lifelog are part of the problem?
Hi @Starfy,
There's a few issues happening here. Normally I would recommend you test your handset in safe mode first to see if the problem is with third party apps, but due to the nature of what you're experiencing it is probably better to just skip straight to running a software repair using Xperia Companion.
