Hi,
Problem with the alarm clock which started with the latest software upgrade in mid October.
The alarm clock indicats that the alarm is set when it is not.
I have no alarms set (at least not in the list of alarms in the clock app itself), and still the clock indicates that the alarm is due to go off. Then that time arrives, there is no alarm, instead the time is moved forward one more hour.
How can I get rid of this? Any ideas?
Hi,
The thing is, I don't have any alarms set. See attached screen shots.
Weird, huh?
Thanks for the tip.
Clearing the app cache does not help.
Running the device in safe mode helps. But the problem returns when going back to normal mode.
Another observation: the fake alarm does not appear until after about one minute after booting the phone.
Simple, the issue it's a third party app acting up (not a preloaded app); you will have to uninstall one by one until you find the culprit
Thanks uliwooly, that seems to be the next thing to do.
A bit weird though that this happens out of the blue. I have not installed any new stuff lately so it must be an updated app that suddenly starts to misbehave.
How many apps do I need to uninstall: Far too many!
/P
Uninstall one by one, this will help you narrow down the app
Open the app drawer > menu (top right corner) > sort apps > By date > now you will get the latest apps first, uninstall one by one until you find the culprit >
once you do, let us know which app was causing this
and
report the bug to the app developer.
Thanks for the tip.
The problem disappeared today before I got to unistalling anything.
So I am not any wiser as to which app was causing this.
I am happy the bug got itself sorted but it is a bit frustrating that this sort of thing can come and go just like that.
Regards
P
