Right Audio on HDMI 1 Missing in KDL-43W805C

I've run into an odd problem with my KDL-43W805C TV. For HDMI 1, the right audio channel isn't audible. I've tested this by using a simple left/right audio test sound (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bJ0dvAl98k) from an AppleTV and a FireTV box. When either of them are plugged into HDMI 1, the right sound cannot be heard. The audio from both is fine when played from any of the other HDMI inputs.

Even more oddly, if I access the menu system and go to settings, just before the settings menu is displayed, I *do* hear about half a second of the right channel audio played before the settings menu appears. That makes me suspect it's actually an odd software issue.
