Sony Android TV stuck in Maintenance Mode screen

I switched on TV (Sony KD49XD8088BU) this morning and got a Maintenance Mode screen which had a message with options including software reset (recommended) - first of all my remote didn't work but then using voice control I managed to start the reset - over an hour later it seemed to be completed as it started showing me pretty pictures of landscapes etc - unfortunately whenever I try to go back to TV I only get back to that Maintenance Mode screen offering me a software reset - how do I get my TV back ?

Thanks for any help.

Sorry guys but just ignore this.

Found out it wasn't a TV problem but a BT problem.

Apologies

I'm guessing that you have a YouView box as well as a YouView TV, and the box, in distress, grabbed the AV input to tell you this, and it was the box, not the TV, that was requesting the Maintenance Mode reset?

So not exactly a BT problem, as it would have been local to your individual box. But certainly not a Sony TV/YouView problem.

YouView Superuser, but not an employee of YouView, nor retained by them for this purpose. It's purely me speaking
