USB 3.0 GIGABIT ADAPTER

As the ethernet port on sony TV only do upto 100 mbps if I was to put a USB 3.0 gigabit ETHERNET ADAPTER into sony x94j usb 3 port and used a tp link gigabit ethernet adapter would it work.????

Out of curiosity, I bought  the same UGREEN adaptor to try on my XR-55A95K. It didn't work, so naturally I got a full refund from Amazon and returned to my reliable UE300.

Finally got the Android 10 update for my 2020 model XH8096 today (very surprised by that lol).

Had a TP link UE306 lying around. Didn't work with the developer setting and although I tried every USB port.

Just ordered the UE300 and will let you know if that works.

Yup - works with the UE300. Crazy 🤣 I guess the chipset might be supported - but not the other one.

I have a Sony KD-48A9, do you know which adapter I would need?

I never realised the LAN port restricted ethernet to 100. This might be why i get buffering every now and again.

I always thought wired was meant to be better than wifi.

Changed internet provider and now TV reaches 500mbps👍

Hi I use tp-link USB - 3.0 to ethernet adapter. It works with my Sony X94J.

The TV should be on android 10 or above for the adaptor to work, check your
TV first, if it is then look for cable matters adaptor on Amazon around 14
USD, good luck
