How can I extract contacts from .dbk file on my computer?

I have files on my computer, backed up from Sony Xperia S, I do not have this phone anymore, but I need to get important contacts out of this .dbk file. How can I do this?

Hi,

I am using Mac and I am having two folders, namely, "com.google.android.syncadapters.contacts" and "com.sonyericsson.android.contactsimport". Both the folders have fullbackupdata and without extension. I still went ahead and tried the steps mentioned by you which include downloading of .jar file and executing it but no luck. Could you please let me know the steps to be executed on Mac.

Thanks in anticipation. Looking forward to your reply as I have lost all my contacts. I was able to restore text messages and notes using the same backup through Sony Bridge for Mac but contacts are not getting restored. Please Help !!!

The good thing we all did is that we all made backup file

if somebody is searching for correct RestoreData.jar file as is 04.06 2014

here is the link that worked for me:

I found correct "fullbackupdata" in Applications/com.sonyericsson/android/socialphonebook
