Anyone else have a yellow tint on their display?? I have it quite bad on the bottom of the display and both left and right hand edges of display running from top to bottom. Is it possible with a firmware update that this issue could be eliminated. J had read on one forum that ICS update SHOULD solve it. Something to do with the colour calibration. I have also heard that it could be to do with colour temperature of screen, or the glue that was used to put display together.
Any advice would be gladly appreciated as this is ruining my experience with this device.

i am not sure if i have the yellow tint on mine or not,
when im using the phone for a while i get a white tint just up from the bottom of the phone, where the app draw symbol is, and the same at the top of the screen,
is this the yellow tint everyone has mentioned ?
Sounds like it Liam,
If you look behind the back cover there should be a manufacturing date 12W__
Anything from week 14 onwards seems okay, anything earlier than that and you may notice the problem.
on the back i have
LT26i
AAAB CB5
12W09
isnt that just great
off to 02 it is then, bet my loan phone will be some rubbish old nokia 3210
Only had mine 3 days but everything seems fine at present. Phone reached temp of 46 degrees celsius today with no tint.
Long may it continue.
raminxp, mine so far is ok..i made the phone up to 49C by placing under the SUN,and coudlnt see any yellow tint...except that my camera crashed once, which i need to reboot my phone. i guess thats not a big issue (mine is 12W17)

Cheers for your replies. So happy to hear that. I've searched other forums and haven't found a single complaint about w17's screen.
I'm going to get this phone unlocked as soon as I'm confident the tint has completely gone

Good to hear guys,
Liam, how many days have you had the phone from o2?
Hi Ethan,
I called them up this morning and they said parts are arriving within this week. No 1-1 replacement though. My set is the worst. Yellow tint at the bottom, and all round LCD like vignettes, a small crack near the top right hand of the panel and slight chip off the bottom back. (Sony/Ericsson somehow have bad QC guys. A friend had a cracked on front plate of his Xperia Arc S upon opening.)
Lastly, I believed my battery is somehow faulty. Tested heavy usage and it lasts less than 4 hours with 46ºc of temp. They took my details and will call upon arrival of parts. Crossing fingers and hope it arrives soon. Guess i've made the right move by calling first rather than let it sit in the 'sick bay' for weeks!
Look at this! Samsung pulled back Galaxy S3 from retailers due to manufacturing fault:
".....the reason is a manufacturing error in the front and back S III panels. Apparently, the blue shades of the two parts didn’t match, but the discovery was made only after the units were already shipped to the retailers. So, Samsung is now pulling back all blue Galaxy S III units in order to replace the panels...."

THAT'S WHY SAMSUNG IS NO:1 now.
It's a shame for me to support SONY for 9 years!
(I'm still stucked with my nightmarish 12W13 Xperia S for years contract. Totally got cheated by Sony or Sony Ericsson or what ever it is. I got a tips from an insider, who's a product tester for Sony Xperia. The sales of Xperia S over here is so bad that even the top management are panicking now.
In conclusion, we should blame ourselves for being too naive to believe the transparent antenna is magical.)
Next phone i get will definately be a Samsung Galaxy S4 now, that would be next year! Everything about SONY is too good to be true now.
Had the phone for coming up to 3 months. From phones 4 u as 02 don't stock the white version
