Can anyone tell me which battery should be used with this laptop.?

Model VPCF11M1E

On the bottom Model PCG-81212M

The battery which never functioned well: VGP-BPS 21 came with the laptop.

On internet different types are recommended.

Hi jagojago,

Either the VGP-BPS21A or VGP-BPL21 will be suitable. I would advise against a battery not supplied by Sony as we have had numerous reports of problems with these batteries.

That link is not delivering as expected - type your model number in the 'Find Accessories' box to give the exact battery match.

You may possibly find the same battery cheaper by searching 'genuine Sony VGP-BPS21A ' - make sure that you confirm with the supplier that they guarantee it is genuine...
