Hello, I just got a new Xperia X yesterday & have a few questions before trying to activate it with my service provider. The reason I bought this phone is I need a better camera. I've always used TracFone branded phones & they never have anything decent enough. My current phone is Samsung Galaxy Sky. It's my 3rd smartphone. All 3 are CDMA. This is my first GSM smartphone. I have a BYOP sim kit.
I can't help but notice this phone runs noticeably warmer than my previous phones. After a few hours of installing updates it drained the battery by about 50% so I charged it up using my Sky's charger. When I went to unplug it I was very surprised at how hot the charger was. Is this normal?
I have a sim card in the phone but my service is not yet transferred/activated. With my previous CDMA phones even if they have no service they show a few bars. This phone shows nothing but an outline of where the bars should be. Is this normal for GSM? I'm concerned about getting good reception. I'd like to know if this is an indication that I will not get a good signal or if it's typical & will change once the phone has service.
Is there a way to swap the back & apps buttons on the home screen? They're the opposite of my Sky. It's not a big deal but if they're swappable I'd like to do that.
Thanks in advance for any anwers or suggestions. ~Zen

No.
The one on the Sony is actually the more standard one. Where back is on the left hand side. Samsung have used the back on right for the longest time. And the new Samsung S8 now allow you to swap it back.
If you use any other android phones, the back is most of the time on the left, so it is good to get used to it!
Thanks for your reply. Can you please tell me how to set how often I get a notification sound when receiving a text? I want it every 2-3 minutes but I cannot find anywhere on the phone or in the manual how to do so.
