Hi all.
Really hoping someone can help me here. As of yesterday my headphones stopped functioning and my phone thinks that my headphones is a headset and any slight movement to the headphones causes my phone to do random things such as changing tracks, increasing volume, activating Google talk.
I did a factory reset, and hoorah! My phone was fully working so I know it's not a hardware problem. Then Google installed (from what I can remember) a "female narrator" app or something along those lines and the problem came back.
I'm at a total loss here now. I know it's an app but can't find it for the life of me. Really frustrating me...
Anyone know of anything I can do to fix this? Thanks,
Joel
I am not sure if it any google app is cable of doing that but from what I know Xperia Smart Connect App have this ability to show events when Headphone/Headset or other accessory is connected to the phone. Also it is having pre-defined action which is follows when accessory is connected (like opening Music when headphones are connected). So check if that is causing any issue here or not.
If you think it's google that is at fault. Try disabling App that you think might be a culprit and check again.
Check your Settings -> Accessibility for any options that have been activated like TalkBack or Narrator.
