My Timer shuts down

Hey guys, I wonder if anyone else has had this problem or can help me get rid of it. Since around august my phones timer won't work anymore. I can use the clock, the alarm and everything. But when I try to open the Timer function the whole clock app shuts down. I just updated to the new version but it didn't help whatsoever. Restarting the phone hasn't worked either. Only thing I haven't tried is a reboot but I am trying to avoid that. Any help?

what if you go to Settings > Apps > Clock > Storage > Clear data? note that it'll also delete the alarms that you have set up.

Sorry. Not working. There is no 'clear data'  option i can choose. I can clear the cash. Which i did. Or i can delete the whole app. That i won't try. No change whatsoever.

It is a bit difficult for me because i need to translate your advice. My phone is set on german.
