X Compact turn on while charging

Hi Community,

Yesterday I receveid in Italy the October patch update.

After installed them I turned off my X Compact and plugged it to charge during the night. After some minutes, the device turned on it automatically. This strange behaviour repeated twice until I unplugged it to not disturb my night.

Any Sony's stuff could help me about? Is it only a random issue due to the newst update?

I hope in an answer.

Thanks

Hi Everyone,

You might experience that the device turns on by itself, when it is connected to a changer and the battery is fully charged. We are aware of the behavior and it will be corrected in the next software release.

However, please note that software updates are released at different times depending on the operator, market, region or country. Therefore, I am unable to provide you with an exact date for when a specific update will be available for your device. In addition, network operators and specific markets may choose not to use the updates for specific models.

Dear All,

About some day ago I received a patch to upgrade my phone to a last patch of security (1 october 2017).

Since that upgrade I notice that I turn off the telephone in the evening and I found it turned on in the next morning.

The first time I thounght was my fault, but yesterday I checked that the telephone was turned off (the simbol of richarge appear on the phone after it turning off) and this morning I found the cell turned on.

Could someone help about this issue?

Thanks

Luca L.

Yesterday I performed a total software repair but the bug is still present.

This morning I found my X Compact turned on also I had turned off it before go bed.

What is very worst is the total lack of interesting and answer from Sony's devs here!

Very disappointed about!

Dear Support Team:

I recently purchased two Xperia X Compacts from Amazon and both of them had the exact same technical issue causing me to return the first one and I'm currently contemplating returning the second one as well.

After I set up the phone with T-Mobile and logged into my account and after all Sony updates and App updates had finished updating, I manually turned off my phone and plugged it in to charge for the night and went to bed. A few hours later, my whole room lights up with the phone turning itself on. I unplugged it and noticed that the same thing repeated itself the following day. It only does this 15-20 mintues after the phone reaches the 100% charge mark and while the phone is off and connected to the charger. The phone does not turn itself on before reaching the 100% mark and it doesn't turn itself on when unplugged from the charger. Only when manually turned off and being charged, some time after reaching the 100% mark, it turns itself off, almost as if it does not want the battery to over-charge.

I called Sony's support and they suggested that I do a software repair on the first phone with Xperia Companion, which I did. The problem repeated itself after that software repair. I figured it was just that one phone. So I returned it and purchased another one. The second brand new  phone again has the same exact issue.

Could this be a manufacturing defect that has gone un-noticed until now because most people charge their phones while the phone is on or they charge it during the day rather than leaving it on the charger for the night?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Regards,

Mike
