Hi Community,
Yesterday I receveid in Italy the October patch update.
After installed them I turned off my X Compact and plugged it to charge during the night. After some minutes, the device turned on it automatically. This strange behaviour repeated twice until I unplugged it to not disturb my night.
Any Sony's stuff could help me about? Is it only a random issue due to the newst update?
I hope in an answer.
Thanks
Solved! Go to Solution.
Just to add my case, I also have the same issue. I've purchased it one week ago (Italian phone, no brand), I generally charge it during the night (after having switched it off) and in the morning I find it turned on. The PIN request for accessing the SIM card is skipped, so I find the phone ready, of course it's NOT what I want.
I am very suprised and disappointed that after some weeks the problem is not yet solved.
I have the same issue, I see that Sony still haven't commented on the problem. Maybe they think if they ignore it that it might go away. The turning on part I could live with but it's the bypassing the security that bothers me. Come on Sony some pesponse to this problem please.
Hi,
Did anyone try out with November security patch ?
Update : I tried and it's still the same
With the new update las week this idiots only fix the security problem but the phone stills turn on by itself????
Yes, it still turns on by himself...
I got this today when my phone died when I was at hospital.
Now when I plug the charger into the phone, it tries to start by itself, but there's not enough battery, and this goes on for hours! It's driving me insane.. and when I plug it into my computers (stationary (win7), laptop (win7) and ubuntu server), i get a message that the driver is corrupt (error 43).
Hi Everyone,
You might experience that the device turns on by itself, when it is connected to a changer and the battery is fully charged. We are aware of the behavior and it will be corrected in the next software release.
However, please note that software updates are released at different times depending on the operator, market, region or country. Therefore, I am unable to provide you with an exact date for when a specific update will be available for your device. In addition, network operators and specific markets may choose not to use the updates for specific models.
Hi @Emir,
Finally a technical answer directly from Sony's devs team!
This could assure us about the issue and Sony's work to correct it as soon as possible.
Thanks also if with delay.
Now you can fix the no disturb problem I have lost many importan calls for this feature not needed
