I have just bought a KD43XD8099BU TV with built-in Chromecast. I can't find the landing page for Chromecast(TV landing page with the landscape image slideshow) anywhere. Is this on a particular HDMI, is it an app? My laptop Chromecast is not detecting the TV either. Any help? This is my first time to cast to this new TV.
Thanks
M
Go on the play store and try updating "Google cast receiver"

Thanks for replying - I've done this and it says its up to date. When I turn the TV on should the Chrome landing page be there. Which input do I choose for Chrome? Is it an app?
Thanks
M
Hi there
There is no Chromecast (or Google Cast) landing page and you do not have to select an input to use chromecast - it is entirely built into the TV. The only exception is, if you want to screen mirror - you choose the screen mirroring Input.
It works slightly different to the actual USB Chromecast device. All you do is cast away !
Cheers
Ok thanks for clarifying. Problem is I can't cast. My cast button is not picking up the TV. Furthermore I can't access Google apps at all on my TV despite the other apps working perfectly and WIFI connection is fine. I can't search - I'm getting an error message "google not available" and play won't load so now I think it's an Android problem. Any advice?
Hi there
I would advise a Factory reset to be honest. I am assuming you have updated the firmware since you purchased the TV. Sometimes after updating the firmware it seems that a factory reset is required to clear out the 'gremlins'
