My phone froze so I had to restart it, but it turned itself off instead and now it won't turn back on, anyone know why? or what i can do?
I try it, but maybe i do something wrong, led is constantly green - not red, and my phone with MTS sim actully did turn on, but after 40 seconds ( dont know is this normaly). This is solution to turn on our phones, but what if i have full battery and without usb cable, excedently turn off phone? I got still problem to turn it on?
thnx regrads
This solution was described a couple of posts ago and it works, the problem is if you need to turn off the phone or the batery dries and you don't have a PC close....
Almost 100 posts and there is NO real solution, it is the LAST product I buy to Sony. I can not belive the amateur they are, I am really disappointed.
I upgraded to 2.1 and it solved this problem (though i had a hard time doing the actual update coz you have to turn the phone on and off).
it also solved a lot of my pther problems EXCEPT for my battery life. batt only lasts a few hours...and this phone's new
I have exactly the same problem! I sent the phone to SE to repair and it's still not working! I am so dissapointed! And the fact that SE hasnt responded with a solution to the problem I'm afraid there isn't one! NEVER A SONY ERICSSON PHONE AGAIN! Such a waste of money and time!
thank that helps!!
I've upgraded - but have literally just discovered this problem. so just to confirm
I have upgraded to 2.1
But my phone is still a stone and I'll be honest I cant figure out how to get it to work. My problem is I'm not a great phone charger so I can garantee I will do this alot...
Sony phones, never again. Especially since this list seems quite active but nobody from the company seems to be chippin gin with either, we are aware hands up your phone is stuffed, or heres a possible solution.
I've tried the old back arrow holdign but nothing yet. I'm hoping once I have the mains charger I may get it to work but thats why I bought extra USB cables to keep me up on power while at work..
best wishes
All
Thanks for the Solution to the problem.
BUT WHAT ARE THE STEPS FROM 'SE SIDE' TO OVERCOME THIS PROBLEM?
I think i solved the problem, this is how i did it,
I removed the battery, hold the back button as for upgrading, plugged the usb into my laptop/charger, installed the battery, releasing the back button, light goes green, for a while and then changes to a solid red, showing the charging battery sign.
Please help!!
I am having a problem after updating my phone i am getting a screen which shows a triangle which has an exclaimation mark please help
Hi everybody. I don´t know if it's the solution for everybody but it worked for me. My problem was about the SIM Card. Some SIM Cards works ok, but mine and others no. My SIM card is from COMCEL Colombia. I had the problem some of you mentioned, that the phone never turns on, it just vibrates and stays there.
I tried the reset buttons but it didn' worked.
I put the phone in it's original state (I deleled everything). That did not work either.
Then I tried to reinstall the software but PC Companion was giving an error message (something like unable to start update process on the phone. Not exactly that, but something equivalent)
I was receiving that error message from some time ago when trying to update after a notification of PC Companion of new software available. I suspected that was about the android update to 2.1, but as I said before, it was always giving and error, so it never completed.
So, I decided to unistall PC Companion and the Update Service from Sony E. Then installed PC Companion again. After that, the software detected that the phone was "updated". So the option PC Companion gives you here is to fix (reinstall) the current software. I decided to take the risk.
This time PC Companion didn't give any error. And the reinstallation process started. It took some minutes.
After the process finished I noticed something different on the UI of the phone... First of all it turned on without no problem with the COMCEL SIM card and voilá, checking the version of the firmware etc. I noticed that the Android OS was updated to 2.1
SE has serious problems in communicating how the update process should be and how to deal with bug and bug fixes.
I really don't know if the "intolerance" to my SIM card will come again. For now it worked and I have my phone back to the arena with Android 2.1.
I hope it helps to some of you at least.
