How do I link the television to an amp with RCA inputs?

I have a KDL-55NX813 television and want to connect it to a Harmon Kardon amplifier that only has RCA inputs.

The television only seems to have HDMI and Optical output as far as I can see. Any solutions out there?

Thanks,

Paul

If the TV doesn't have a headphone socket either (when you could use a 3.5mm to 2 x phono cable) have a look on the web for an optical to analogue phono converter.
.
For example:  http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/optical-to-phono-converter.html

Blimey!  That's something else to be aware of when buying a new (and not a cheap) telly.  Thanks for bringing it to this forum.  One could ask whatever's happening to plain, ordinary audio?

Thanks for the tip. I now have the TV connected to the amp via the headphone socket and all seems well. That converter looks a handy piece of kit though.

Thanks again.

Glad to hear you've got it connected up, Paul.
